1. What is CRAWL Mod

CRAWL is a series of Partical Conversion of Doom engine games, by me. The PC or Mod changes the common monsters and weapons by new visual things.


2. Story about this project

The dawn comes in on the planet Crawl, over everything hang the shadows of Kroax creatures. An evil mage that took over your home, ruling without mercy. You yourself wake up on this fateful moring, You go tired from the slavery this monsters hold on your land. It is time for a change, it is time for a revolution agains the monsters that struggled your family and friends down.Time to revange you by the bastard that took everything out your live that was worth to loving forth.... Time to move on in this fateful moring...


3. How to Install and play

You need Heretic and Doomsday 1.9.x to play it succesfully. The Mod where tested in Doomsday 1.9.5.1

To Install unzip to your ./Snowberry/Addons/ folder, remembering to respect the file paths. Start Snowberry and look for "CRAWL: Chapter I - The Heretic" under the Addons tab.

To Uninstall the mod, del the "CRAWL-H.pk3" file in your ./Snowberry/Addons/ folder.


4. Weapons / Items

Weapons:

Mace: This is one of the two weapons you start out with. It's also what you're left with if you run out of ammo. Its a weak melee ranged weapon, It is useless agains larger enemy groups.

Cristal Wand: Along with the Mace, this is what you start out with. Only useful agains lonly enemys. Projectils hits instantly, but this are not really powerful.

Voltag Spell: This magic spell will replace your Mace, onces you find it. The magica absorbs energy from your enemys. But works only on close range only, what classifides this as melee weapon.

Ethereal Gloves: This gloves are sournded by green flames, allowing you to summon a ethereal crystal in front of you. Flying strigth on what you where aimming with the gloves. Until you can summon a new cristal will the glows need a momment to recharge there magical energy.

Necros Staff: The weapon shots in a very short recoil projectils that will prices organtic material with decent damage. A brust of this can be deadly, specialy for smaller creatures.

Storm Rod: This one realses an elextic thunderbolt in front of you. Where ever the bolt hits into, will a energy storm above the impact get summoned raining down deadly energy tears.

Emiter Rod: This weapon launches emiter cristals. Emiters are usual very hot, what makes them to leave a thick steam trail behind them. Sinces emiters hold a huge amont of energy on a very compressed room does an impact make the crystals to explode, cause serious damage to what ever get hit.

Apocalypt: A powerful rod. Realseing a series of wild bouncing plasmaballs. Those explode by contact or after some time, leaving serious damage. Its known that water or any other liqude makes the plasma stabil so that it wont explode anymore.


Items:

Crystal Vial: Gives a 10% boost to your health instantly.

Healing Potion: Gives a 25% boost to your health.

Shild: Gives a 100% boost to your armor.

Enchanted Shild: Gives a 200% boost to your armor.

Rune's: Opens locked doors and switches. They exsist in three colors. Blue, Green and Yellow

Bag of Holding: An Item that allow you the care more around with you as usual.

Map Scroll: An Item that allow gives you more infromations about the current area.

Torch: An item that enligths the area around you for a short momment.

Wings of Wrath: An atrefact that allows you to fly for a short momment.

Cross of Sith: An atrefact that absorbs any damage for a short momment.

Shadowsphere: An atrefact that makes invisible for a short momment.

Egg of Morph: An atrefact that transforms enemys in small chickens for a short momment.

Angle Urn: An atrefact that healths you instantly.

Time Bomb of the Ancients: An atrefact that explodes a few seconds after you drop it.

Spawn Device: An atrefact that teleports you back into a save area.


5. Enemys

Ashlo Bird: A kind of an oversized bird, fast in the air, sharp claws and sometimes even able to throw small fireballs at you.
Flying Speed- fast
Attacking Speed- fast
Strength- weak

Glom: Babarians that got armed with maces. A few higher ranked gloms are even able to summon magical projectils.
Walking Speed- slow
Attacking Speed- medium
Strength- weak

Minotaur: This monsters are not just hunger then Gloms but also more dangerous. The Minotaur's are able to throw energy balls at you, as well as pounching you with there enorm muscluar arms.

Werewolf: This transofrmed wolfes, are fast on there feets and even faster with there claws. They are unable to do a harm from distance but can get very dangerous in groups.

Female Mages: this ladies are not as easy to take out as you think. There highly skilled mind allows them to float thougth air, while there cased energy balls can burn in seconds thougth your skin.
Flying Speed- medium
Attacking Speed- medium
Strength- medium

Hunter: Hunters are skilled warriors, Armed with a longbow do hunters shot posined arrows at there preys with a high accurace. The heavie longbow takes to much weigth to let them care any melee weapon,.
Walking Speed- slow

Strength- strong

Serpents: Serpents are hung beats, with an deadly kind of breath weapon. There urge to protect there area, makes you to an treat. they wont melee anyhow, sinces humans are not an option as food for serpents.

Strength- strong

Cracor: Cracor's float over the ground, without arms or legs are they not less dangerous beasts as any others of Kroax's breed. there psi powers allows them to use three diffrent kinds of magic agains you: Fire, ice and wind.
Floating Speed- very slow
Shooting Speed- medium
Strength- very strong

Serpent Queen: She is a monsterious creature, tall, strong and dangerious. using diffrent kind of breath weapons attack anything in her way.
Walking Speed- slow to fast
Attacking Speed- medium
Strength- very strong

Kroax He was onces a powerful mage, untill his need for more power runined his soul. Taken over by mystical powers did the he turn into one evil breed of a monster. Taking over most places, without mercy. His powers growed to an unknow high level.

You might even encounter more enemys, that got not listed. Thise are morphed forms of the listed onces. there behaviour is expected to be familar.
