1. What is CRAWL Mod

CRAWL is a series of Partical Conversion of Doom engine games, by me. The PC or Mod changes the common monsters and weapons by new visual things.


2. Story about this project

After striking the Overlords down you thougth it was over, but it is not. Fact is that the operation of the overlords successed even when they did not. A huge erathquake 200 miles westway located from you, ripped a huge rift. One that opend a kind of portal to hell. The rift has to be closed as soon as possible, on any costs. Or your whole combating till yet ends up sencesless. So hurry on.


3. How to Install and play

You need Doom (2) and Doomsday 1.9.x to play it succesfully. The Mod where tested in Doomsday 1.9.5.1

To Install unzip to your ./Snowberry/Addons/ folder, remembering to respect the file paths. Start Snowberry and look for "CRAWL: Chapter IV - Forever" under the Addons tab.

To Uninstall the mod, del the "CRAWL-D2.pk3" file in your ./Snowberry/Addons/ folder.


4. Weapons / Items

Weapons:

Chainsaw: This is one of the two weapons you start out with. It's also what you're left with if you run out of ammo. The twinblades allow to realse serious damage in closest range. It is also possible to upgrade the chainsaw with diamond baldes, that create even bigger damage, but wont hold forever. Even when this is a great weapon, you should know when to use it. Sinces close range can end fatal by some of your enemys.

Shotgun: Along with the Pistol, this is what you start out with. Its a pump action Shotgun, shoting shells that will sprad there pannels in further distance. It is the best standart weaponery you could image.

Colts: The colts would replace the puprose of your chainsaw. Weapon that is left when ammo runs out. The colts use standart 9mm ammo and are so not very strong. But allow you at last to strike your enemys from healther distance. Also to balance the weakenss of the colt out, will you care two of them at onces.

Assault Rifle: The assault rifle uses 9mm ammo. The full automatic rifle got a longer barrel and shoulder holder for better accurancy and counts to the standart weaponry of the UAC army.

Assault Shotgun: The Assault Shotgun is a half automatic Shotgun. Launching two shells at a time what doubles it damage. The Relading anyhow is slower as by a standart shotgun, sinces 2 shells need to be replaced.

Impulse Cannon: The Impulse Cannon shots in a very short rate of fire small plasma particles. This paritcles measure a heat of 400 degresss celcius, what explains why the Impulse Cannon need a short recoil time after shot a brust of praticles, to protect the titanium emiters not to overheat.

Minigun: This weapon is a evoultion of the Assault Rifle, it shots faster and offers much bigger firepower then a Assault Rifle could do. A amppfhaser reduces the firefeedback but measures the weapon less accurant as a Assault Rifle what makes the Minigun less powerfull on far distances. Also the Minigun uses much faster ammotation then a Assault Rifle could do. What makes this weapon useless by low ammo.

Missile Rocket Launcher: This weapon launches a high explosiv rocket powered shell. The projectil will mercyless explode on what ever it hits. The head of the explosion damages anything within its blast area. Even you if your not careful.

Particle Cannon: The Particle cannon is a experimental weapon, that will lunch a special projectil. This projectil is very instabil and will brust by any contact. The brust will launch a large chainreaction of ionstring movents, what will look without ultrazoom like a huge energy explosion. It is suggested to stay far from the core of the reaction to ensure that no harm will encountered durring the reaction.


Items:

Health vial: Gives a 1% boost to your health instantly.

Stimpack: Gives a 10% boost to your health.

Medikit: Gives a 25% boost to your health.

FirstAid Kit: Gives a 100% boost to your health.

Armor shard: Gives a 1% boost to your armor.

Light armor: Gives a 100% boost to your armor.

Heavy armor: Gives a 100% boost to your armor.

Key's: Opens locked doors and switches. They exsist in three colors. Blue, Red and Yellow

Backpack: An Item that allow you the care more ammo with you as usual.

Computer Area Map: An Item that allow gives you more infromations about the current area.

Light Amplification Visor: An item that enligths the area around you for a short momment.

Radiation Shielding Suit: An item that protects you from bio hazzards for a short time.

Nightmare Sphere: An atrefact that absorbs any damage for a short momment.

Wraith Sphere: An atrefact that makes invisible for a short momment.

Dread Sphere: An atrefact that healths you instantly. And boost of 100% is ensured

Demon Sphere: An atrefact that healths you instantly and ensure higher protection.


5. Enemys

Guard: Some of thise guy did take you down as you arrived. Armed with a standart 9mm Pistol, Are this guy no real problem onces you figured out how to protect yourself in this world.

Trooper: Arrmed with the standart rifle are this soliders more dangerous as the guards. Specialy in close rang

Assisian: Arrmed with a half automatic rifle are this soliders more dangerous as the guards and troopers. On close and far rangs

Strength- medium

Enforcer: Enforcers are a special commando, that is yet rarely seen. They are armed in heavy armor and with a chaingun, making this guys well uncomfortable to come across with.

Strength- medium

Zombie: Zombies are undead, they will throw toxic guts at you from stitance and try to hit you to dead onces they close. Sinces Zombies are slow, make sure that you let them come not to close. Even when they attack you in hords.

Fiend: Fiends are a kind of deomic creatures, very fast and having huge sharp claws that will shreder your body in parts.
Walking Speed- very fast

Strength- medium

Wraith: Weird flying creature, that will storm attack you onces you in rang. onces close it will cut your skin with there claws and teeths.
Flying Speed- slow to fast
Attacking Speed- medium
Strength- weak

Scrag: Floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee. Ugly as hell. They're not real tough, but like to bushwhack you.
Floating Speed- medium
Shooting Speed- medium
Strength- medium

Spawn: Flys like a bird but is much bigger. Throwing toxic slime at you. To prepear you to become there dinner.
Floating Speed- medium

Strength- strong

Demon: Demons are huge, tall and strong. Smashing fireballs at you from distance, or braking your neck when you come to close. Walking Speed- medium
Attacking Speed- medium
Strength- strong

Cyborg: Half machine, half Mutant, this strongly modifcated creatures got armed with two pulse cannons, shoting on you toxic slime at you. To your bad the metalic exoskelet let them hold way more damage you want.

Strength- strong

Bull Demon: Bulldemons where natrual very strong build, so they became armed with even heavier weapons. Holding on each arm an inbuild napalm cannon, are this monsters able to smash fireballs on you like there is no tomrorow.

Mech: Mosnterious machines, build in a very stong titanium exoskelet allowing them to stay in position. To there worse they using the fullautomatic miniguns to shreder you with bullets. There inbuild ammo factory allows them to keep firing on a high rate without running out of ammo.

Strength- strong

Gladiator: A humanoid torso mounted on hydraulic legs, and with a plasma cannon replacing its right arm. Also armed with a blade weapon crudely inserted into its remaining left arm.

Shambler: An monsterious big creature, that is able to use black magic. Onces his magic cased agains you, run and hide behind a coner so it can't see you anymore. That the only way to brake the spell. If you don't hide you will fly high. On top of that are Shambler able to recruse dead crops to live again, what makes them to one of the most dangerious creatures hell ever spawned.

Cyberxeno The Cyber Xeno is a crossbreed of a immense alien species and some modern technology. Enhanced there arms with immense rocket launchers while enhancements on the elgs reduce to zero feedback.

Strength- very strong

Cyber Demon The Cyber Demons are known as immense creatures of darkness, immensly huge and extremly strong. Hell could not leave him how he was, and choosed to increase him, now taller much stronger and armed with a particle cannon instace of a rocket launcher, this beast is your worst nightmare, that could come true..
