WolfenDoom, is a Total Conversion of Doom 2, by Laz Rojas. The TC was converting Wolfenstein 3d into Doom engine. it seems that it was quite popular in old days, sinces Laz Rojas made more then 10 episodes for it. That include all orgiinal missions as well as the missions of the Wolfenstein addon "Spear of Destiny". So if you never played it, might this be a chance for you to gain familar experinces to the orginal WolfenStein 3d game onces.
Laz Rojas orginal version did not use any of the modern ports functions.
I did choose my self to give his TC series a small upgrade. I did add CO OP
support as main goal. I did also work on a optimizon for Doomsday 1.9.x. So
that minor gameplay bugs are fixed, particle system gets used and the all
in all experinces is a tic closer to what the real game was it self.
Note that this project has noting to do with JWolf or the Wolfenstein TC that
is WIP for Doomsday.
You need Doom 2 and Doomsday 1.9.x to play it succesfully. The
Mod where tested in Doomsday 1.9.4 and 1.9.5.1
To Install unzip to your ./Snowberry/Addons/ folder, remembering to respect the
file paths. Start Snowberry and look for "WolfenStein3d Mod" under the Addons
tab.
To Uninstall the mod, del the "wolfendoom.box" folder in your
./Snowberry/Addons/ folder.
Weapons:
Knife: This is one of the two weapons you start out with. It's also what
you're left with if you run out of ammo. Actually, it's not a very good weapon,
sinces you get limited down to close melee range only. At last
it can help you conserve ammo. But don't try to use it on bosses!
Pistol: Along with the knife, this is what you start out with. Effective
mostly against dogs, guards and S.S., but can also be used against officers
and mutants if you know what you're doing. As for bosses, forget it.
Machine Gun: This is what you get if you kill an S.S., or if you're lucky
enough to find it lying around. Rapid and automatic, it'll down anyone you might
encounter. But try something else on a boss first...
Chaingun: This is the first of the weapons that makes you grin with
bloodthirsty glee when you get it. Much more powerful than the machine gun,
it'll clear a room of Nazis in seconds. But don't overuse it, because it goes
through ammo like water.
Rocket Launcher: The most powerful weapon in your arsenal. Not
even Hitler's armor can stop it. Use this on bosses, or when you want to take
out a whole slew of troops with just a couple of shots.
Flame Thrower: Wanna see Nazis roast? Try this baby on 'em. It'll kill everyone
in its path, and loses none of its effectiveness with distance.
Secret Weapon 1: A new developing of the Nazis, a caliber 10
machine gun. Designed to pirce heavie armor.
Note: The weapon wont apear on your normal way. You might locate
one in a secret place.
Secret Weapon 2: A new developing of the Nazis, a caliber 20
rifle. Designed to spread a brust of metal shell chucks into the aimed target.
Note: The weapon wont apear on your normal way. You might locate
one in a secret place.
Secret Weapon 3: A new developing of the Nazis, a rocket powered
morser projetil. Armed with a High explosiv war head. Designed to cread massive
splash damage to target and area around it.
Note: The weapon wont apear on your normal way. You might locate
one in a secret place. This weapon is placed very rarely and is the most
powerful weapon that you could find.
Ammo clip: Contains 8 rounds. There exsist two kind of clips.
type A is for pistol and chaingun, while type Bis for machine gun only.
Ammo box: Contains 40 rounds for pistol and chaingun or machine gun.
Gasoline canister: Refills your flame thrower; good for 16 shot
Crate of rockets: Contains 5 rockets for the rocket launcher.
Dog food: Gives a 4% boost to your health. Better than nothing!
Dinner: Gives a 15% boost to your health.
First aid kit: Gives a 25% boost to your health.
One-up: Restores your health to 100%.
There also a second versino of it that offers you even more
then just 100% health, but its rare and well hiden.
Key's: Opens doors locked with key's. They exsist in three colors.
Silver, Gold and Red/Bronce
Treasure's: Four different religious and/or treasure items collected
by Hitler. Picking them up does sort help you to stay healthy... how mystical...
You might even encounter more items and weapons, that got not listed. Specialy in the Xtra Missions.
Dog: Although these guys look small, they've got one big bite!
They have been trained to avoid enemy fire so shooting them can get
very difficult with some of the slower weapons.
First Encountered- "Escape From Wolfenstein"
Walking Speed- fast
Biting Speed- medium
Gives- nothing
Strength- weak (1-2 shots)
Guard: This is the first enemy you will encounter in
Wolfenstein 3D™. These guys are slow on the draw and on
their feet. Beware, however, that a group of guards can cause major
damage at close range.
First Encountered- "Escape From Wolfenstein"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed-slow
Gives- one ammo clip
Strength- weak (2-6 shots)
Blue Guard: These guys with bullet-proof vests and machine guns are
actually easier to kill then you would think. You can usually take a shot at them
and they will take about a second to re-adjust their aim. You can fend off two blue
guards using this technique because of their slow aim time.
First Encountered- "Escape From Wolfenstein"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed- medium
Gives- machine gun
Strength- medium (5-10 shots)
Mutant: You won't get to these nasties until you reach the second
scenario. Mutants are the work of the evil Dr. Schabbs, brought back from the
dead to create a deadly army. Those knives are just for show, the gun in his chest
does the real damage!
First Encountered- "Operation: Eisenfaust"
Walking Speed- medium
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting what is no good
Strength- medium (4-8 shots)
Officer: These guys have got to be one of the most annoying
enemies in the game. Officers are so quick on their feet and with a gun that
they could probably take two shots at you before you knew that they were there!
They aren't as strong as blue guards but it's almost impossible to take them down
with a pistol.
First Encountered- "A Dark Secret"
Walking Speed- very fast
Shooting Speed- very fast
Gives- one ammo clip
Strength- weak (1-3 shots)
Clons: Hitler made clons of himself, by Dr. Shabbs.
But on this clons seem to be something wrong. But what ?
First Encountered- "Die Führer Die!"
Walking Speed- fast
Shooting Speed- medium
Gives- noting
Strength- medium
Hans Grosse: This is the first boss that appears in the game. If you
think that this guy is hard, just wait until you get to the later scenarios!
Thankfully, this guy is slow on his feet and the time it takes for him to aim is
long so you can get behind cover.
First Encountered- "Escape From Wolfenstein"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed- medium
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Trans Grosse: Like his brother, Trans totes some pretty big guns,
but he's also just as slow. He can be easily beaten just as long as you don't
get in the way of his flamer...
First Encountered- "Spear of Destiny"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed- medium
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Dr. Schabbs: Ah, the evil doctor himself. For months, Schabbs has
been bringing soldiers back from the dead to create an almost invincible army.
Watch out for his flying syringes or you'll be a mutant too!
First Encountered- "Operation: Eisenfaust"
Walking Speed- slow
Throwing Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Gerta Grosse She is well armed and seem to appear stronger as her
brothers. Take care for here chainguns, when you don't want to end as a
swisser chesse.
First Encountered- "Trail of the Mad Man"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Major Unforently can his rocket launcher do something
that yours can't... following its target by heatseeker warhead.
First Encountered- "A Dark Secret!"
Walking Speed- fast
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Genral Watch that big guy. His rockets might not follow you. But
they will rip your flesh from you for sure. He also appears to be much stronger
as he looks like.
First Encountered- "Confrontation"
Walking Speed- medium
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Prison Leader He leads the prison from that you escape in Spear of
Destiny. Luckly you will never see him after that again. The bad thing is that
he cares a heatseek rocket launcher with himself.
First Encountered- "Spear of Destiny"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
UberMutant This is the bigger brother of the mutants. He's actually faster
than you would think so be quick on your feet!
First Encountered- "Spear of Destiny 2"
Walking Speed- fast
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- strong
Death Knight: This is probably the hardest killable enemy in the game.
The Death Knight carries a twin rocket launchers. The only way to bring this
monster down is with a lot of guts and a heck of a lot of ammo...
First Encountered- "Spear of Destiny 2"
Walking Speed- slow
Shooting Speed- medium
Gives- noting
Strength- very strong
The Führer: Yes, the Fürher himself makes an appearance in
Wolfenstein 3D™. He comes in two forms: with and without
mechanized armor.
First Encountered- "Die, Führer, Die!"
Walking Speed- slow in armor, fast without armor
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- nothing
Strength- strong
Demon of Destiny Ehh a Demon in Wolfenstein???? WTF!
First Encountered- "Spear of Destiny 2 only"
Walking Speed- medium
Shooting Speed- fast
Gives- noting
Strength- very strong
You might even encounter more enemys, that got not listed. Specialy in the Xtra Missions.
